24th May was a long day for the TWINCLING core team.

We reached IIIT early in the morning for the Open Source Entrepreneurship Forum 2008. The event was enjoyed thoroughly by the audience and nobody realized that it ended three hours beyond the scheduled time. And we had another event - Community 2008 - at 5pm - barely an hour later - at another venue. The team - and most of the audience - rushed to attend it. The discussions at Community 2008 brought so much life into the team that inspite of having spent the whole day in discussions we did not rush to our bedrooms. Instead we had a 5 hour long strategy discussion about the future plans for TWINCLING.

When TWINCLING Society was started, not many people understood our idea of a professionally run non-profit organization. However, as we started executing the technical events (TSMs), BoF sessions, Workshops, Hackathons, TCMs (TWINCLING College Meets), FDPs (Faculty Development Programmes) etc. the open source community in Hyderabad not only understood our value proposition, they supported us with all their hearts, souls and minds.

YOUR support and contribution has helped TWINCLING grow by leaps and bounds. A BIG Thank You for that !
Its time now for TWINCLING 2.0 - where we execute our go-GLOBAL plan.

TWINCLING 2.0 is a global organization working on the forefront of technical innovation.
We would be branding the new version of the organization as Twincling Technology Foundation.

With the core focus as technology, Twincling's efforts would be channeled towards:

a) World class products - that solve real problems.
   This would include focussed mentorship programmes aligned with the products.

b) World class events - that bring you the opportunity to interact, learn and share with like minded people
        - Open Source Technology Summit
        - Open Source Entrepreneurship Forum

Will write more in detail as the products, mentorship programme and events take shape. Stay tuned.

Along with the above Twincling would regularize board proceedings and make them transparent.
All board meeting notes would be made available on the website for everybody to view.
