The above video is a rap song about particle physics. Now you may be asking me: Why blog about that in an open source community? Well, since Twincling is also a way for us to spread knowledge to others, I was thinking that why not get a few talented singers, songwriters, and anonymous backup dancers together and write and sing/rap about computer related concepts....right from system architecture like x86 all the way to security protocols like SSL. We could then host these videos somewhere so that anyone can view them.
This video is a good example of how a song/video can be both nice-sounding AND informative (an interesting 5 minute video taught me as much as I might have learned reading the wiki page for much longer than 5 minutes). I'm blogging about this idea to see if anyone else thinks this is a good idea (as in feasible) and also to see if anyone's interested in doing this sort of thing (even if it's just as an anonymous backup dancer
).
