Consistent with Alan Kay's quote i'm not trying to predict the future, rather identify the set of thoughts, actions that we need to undertake to reach our goal.

Seven years down the line, I would like Twincling to be thought of as a unique, high spirited, fun loving, entrepreneurial community known for its excellence in engineering reliable, interoperable infrastructure software products and has global influence.

Fast forward to 2015.

What are are the accomplishments of Twincling Foundation ? Where have we arrived ?
As a Technology Foundation, that was setup in a flat world, we have 21st century thinking, we are global, Twincling products are used in mission critical solutions. We want to reach the number One position in seven years and not in twenty five ! This means we have adopted methods, mechanisms and a mindset that supports this accelerated growth path.

Where do we stand ?
We are the world's number One Open Source organization in a world where every organization has some or substantial "Open Source" software to offer and smart people are one-click away.

What is our Thought Process ?
Willful statesmanship with a sharp eye for global influence and aligning people/teams with the goal. We also believe that radical innovations are not demand driven.

What is our view on software ?
Modern day perception of service is based on software that powers infrastructure and devices. This requires software deployments that are seamless, interoperable, provides transparent services and incorporate functional intelligence. The more the user has to be interrupted by attention seeking software, the more (s)he is going to dislike it and eventually get rid of it !

What makes us unique ?
Technology not ideology. We aimed for greatness and are truly innovative and creative in the way we put together the solution. We make it easier rather than harder for organizations to innovate with our software and on our platforms.

What is our contribution towards reliable software ?
There are better options in terms of building blocks (platform and architecture) today. Together with commercial entities and OEMs, Twincling pioneers large scale deployment of 'warranty' based, interoperable software for various form factors.

What we did right about Community building ?
The core essence of Twincling Open Source community is attention and focus.

Tremendous amounts of creative and emotional energy is wasted in flame baits, pointless email exchanges to win arguments when the goal should be marketshare and mindshare.

At Twincling we've worked hard to target talent not age or geography, eliminate distractions like perfectionist thinking and systematic cleansing of ethereal ideas. Ethereal ideas are so ambiguous that they are often interpreted differently by differently (eg freedom, state, god etc., cf. Brainwashing, Prof. Kathleen Taylor).

Our outward stance is such that people who align with our vision are strongly attracted and get to work to create value, whereas "under performing, negative, cynical, dangerous, distracted" people or purists are very strongly repulsed !

What is the Twincling culture ?
'Freedom of innovation' and 'freedom of action' to create unique products and services, requires a "can do" culture with strong performance attributes. Dialogue is the unit of communication and if it's not respectful, it's not useful. Working on the future is a long standing tradition. Today the customer is very smart and demanding. Our products and processes help customers influence users in their space.

What is our financial status ?
As an organization we have adequate funds to sponsor an Annual global event, facilitate travel of talented individuals, a decent 5000 sq ft office space with a caring administrative staff and reliable hosting for Projects on twincling.org .

Donor organizations and individuals recognize and appreciate the fact that when they donate their money to Twincling Foundation, they are funding the creation of knowledge and not to copy some feature found in proprietary software.

Is this going to be easy ? No. Would we make mistakes along the way ? Hopefully not. Just in case we do, we take remedial action in real time.
