Hyderabad, capital of India's most progressive state Andhra Pradesh, is Asia's fastest growing metropolis with a glorious 400 years of history, Hyderabad sometimes referred to as the Chandigarh of south, is 'south for north' and 'north for south' given its unique fusion of cultures.

Hyderabad enjoys a moderate climate with slightly hot summers and peppy winters. Balaji Temple, Charminar, Birla Temple, Golconda Palace, and Ramoji Film city are the notable places to visit among others.

The Sound and Light Show at Taramati baradari, Golconda Palace is attended by people from all over the country.

Water rides, para gliding, snorkeling and boating are some of the exciting events organized at Hussain Sagar lake, which is located in the heart of the city. Osman Sagar and Nagarjuna Sagar located on the outskirts of the city, are other major tourist attractions.

In Sports, Hyderabad is home to V.V.S. Laxman, a prolific Indian cricketer, Sania Mirza a rising star in Women Tennis, Saina Nehwal a badminton champion, Koneru Humpy the youngest ever chess grand master to name a few.

Hyderabad is home to the second largest film industry in India, which produces approximately 100 movies every year. Prasads IMAX has the worlds largest IMAX screen.

The New Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad is India's best, largest and most sophisticated airport.
